TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES FOR CONNECTING ELECTRONICALLY
GrandPad®
A tablet that comes fully loaded and ready to use. With a monthly subscription, family members can connect to the tablet through an app that enables video and phone calls as well as picture sharing. The Grandpad also has solitaire games, music, and other entertainment that can edited by administrator. The tablet is charged on a cradle. A family member is the administrator and has the ability to load contacts into the tablet ahead of delivery to the client.
ViewClix™
A Smart Picture Frame that needs to be set up with Wi-Fi password and kept plugged in. There is a purchase fee but no monthly fee. Family members download a free app on their phones or tablets. Only people added to the Share list can access the frame from the app. The frame displays digital photos and can receive video phone calls from family members. The client cannot initiate video phone calls. There is an auto answer feature so that the client does not have to do anything to receive a call. The frame must be kept plugged in to the wall, so it needs to be in a place where the client can comfortably sit and see the frame during a video call. There is also a “sticky note” feature so that family members can post messages and/or reminders on the frame.

A tablet device that is managed by family members through an app. The device has simple touch screen buttons for video calls, emailing, web browsing, and reminders. Family members have the ability to add features and content remotely to the client’s device. The remote settings also allow for reminders, check in messaging from user to family members, and mini well-being survey questions for clients to keep their family members informed as to how they are doing.
Birdsong Tablet
The Birdsong Tablet is a device that can be used for easy video calling to contacts. It operates with the user’s Wi-Fi. The monthly fee covers content that is available on the device which includes music, games, educational videos, and TV/movies.
