Ms. Zelitt joined Proeger & Associates, Inc. in 2004. She received her Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of South Florida in 1996 and her Bachelor of Social Work in 1991. She achieved the Advanced Professional level in the Aging Life Care Association™ (formerly National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers) and has been a member since 2004. She received her certification in care management through the National Academy of Certified Care Managers in 2007.
Since 2004, Ms. Zelitt has been involved with committees in the aging network. She is co-chair of membership for the Suncoast Aging Network. She has also participated regularly in the local annual Alzheimer’s Walks and has served as an Alzheimer’s Association Support Group Facilitator.
Mindy has assisted with the Aging Life Care Association Florida Chapter Conference Committee since the 2008 annual conference in Sarasota, securing sponsor & vendor participation, which is a major source of revenue for our Chapter. She served as the 2020 Conference Chair in Sarasota. Mindy serves as the Unit Leader for the ALCA Florida Chapter West Coast Unit, a position she has held since 2019. She is a presenter for the Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Education Series. Additionally, she is a member of DCCI (Dementia Care and Cure Initiative) of Manatee County.
Her prior work experience includes Mental Health Therapist at the Family Counseling Center in Sarasota, Florida, case manager at Manatee Glens, and case manager for the Easter Seals Adult Day Health Care Center.
